Neighbors Helping Neighbors:
The Community Food Pantry of Coxsackie
Tuesday 1:00 – 2:00 pm
Thursday 7:00 – 8:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 – 11:00 am
The Pantry is housed in the basement of the First Reformed Church at 284 Mansion Street, Coxsackie, the entrance is at the rear of the church.
Since 1977, the Community Food Pantry has served families in need in the New Baltimore, Hannacroix, West Coxsackie, Earlton, Climax, Medway and Coxsackie postal districts. In response to the current economic climate pantry policies have been expanded. Individuals and families may come to the pantry twice a month.
In the spirit of neighbors helping neighbors, the Pantry invites our entire community to join our work by donating time, money, services or nonperishable food. Volunteers are needed for sorting, shelving, trucking, and shopping for food and personal care products, as well as for serving the Pantry’s clientele.
Financial contributions offer a great benefit to the Pantry. Through an agreement with the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, the Pantry is able to buy 10 to 20 times more food with each dollar received, compared to food purchased by donors at retail prices. Funding is also welcome for purchasing locally produced foods to support both Greene County agriculture as well as people in crisis.
Donations of money, food, and personal care items can be made during Pantry hours. Checks should be made to the Community Food Pantry, and should be mailed to 961 Route 54, Hannacroix, New York, 12087.
Thank you for joining us in serving our neighbors.
