NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF FINAL ASSESSMENT ROLL

(Pursuant to Section 516 of the Real Property Tax Law)

Notice is hereby given that the Final Assessment Roll for the Town of Coxsackie,
Greene County, N.Y., for the year 2024, has been completed and verified by
the undersigned assessor and a certified copy thereof was filed in the office of the
Town Clerk of the Town of Coxsackie at 56 Bailey Street, Coxsackie, N. Y.
on the 1st day of July, 2024, there to remain for public inspection.

• Calculate the assessed value of property within the Town of Coxsackie
• Provide the following publicly available information about a property upon request:

Owner’s name(s)
Current and previous assessed value of home
Year built
Last sale price

• Review eligibility for and provide information about tax exemptions such as:
• STaR and Enhanced STaR
• Veteran’s Exemption
• Senior’s Exemption
• Agriculture Exemption
• Assist taxpayers in filling out and submitting exemption forms
• Maintain property transfer records

Attention Property Owners

AS A RESULT OF RECENT NYS LAW CHANGES THE STAR PROGRAM IS BEING RESTRUCTURED

NEW STAR recipients will receive a check directly from the New York State Tax Department instead of receiving an exemption on their school tax bill. The amount of the benefit will be the same.

Your local Town Assessor will NO LONGER be accepting ‘New’ STAR Exemption Applications.
