The meeting was called to order by Supervisor Hanse at 7:00 pm.


A motion to accept the minutes of March 11 was made by Thomas Burke seconded by Shane Pilato and duly carried.


Supervisor opened the meeting to the public: Catherine Huber stated that she would be willing to volunteer for anything if needed. She would like to give back to the community she grew up in.


Highway Superintendent Ross reported that they have been sweeping the roads.  Most of their stone supply is in and he hopes to start paving in June.  Everything has been taken care of for the bridge closure on Potic Creek Road.
 
A motion to accept the bid for the Potic Creek Road Culvert project from TCBR in the amount of $175,805.64 was made by Michael Veeder seconded by Shane Pilato and duly carried.  The Town will be reimbursed by a CREST grant from NYS.

A motion to approve Scott Eldred’s attendance at the Annual School for Highway Superintendents at Ithaca College June 2-4 was made by Michael Veeder seconded by Thomas Burke and duly carried.

Chief of EMS Myrdycz submitted a written vehicle report.  They had 124 calls for March; the average is 93.  The new rig is expected in June.


Supervisor’s Bookkeeper Wasilewski reported that the NYGFOA conference was wonderful, her attendance was beneficial.  Comptroller DiNapoli was a presenter and stated that the NYS Retirement System is solid.  NYCLASS will be merging with another bank in the future and will be able to issue CD’s.  She attended classes on worker’s compensation, First Amendment Audits and Mental Health.  The first week in April the Town earned $2,416 in interest with NY Class.   


The Memorandum of Agreement between the IDA, Village and Town was presented.  The agreement provides for the Town to contract with the IDA as Contract Administrator for the funding of a joint comprehensive plan.  Each party will budget $50,000 to update and complete the plan, sharing the cost over two consecutive budget cycles.  For the Town that is $25,000 for the year 2025 and $25,000 for the year 2026.  A motion authorizing the Supervisor to execute the agreement was made by Thomas Burke seconded by Shane Pilato and duly carried.  It was noted that the liaisons for this project are Councilman Kennedy and Pilato.

The Town received three mowing bids for the 2025 season as follows: Turf Technologies, Inc. $25,950; WM Property Services LLS $6,000; Josh Stiteler (Lsl Property Management) $5,000.  The legal notice was presented. Town Clerk disclosed that Josh Stiteler is her brother.  A motion to accept the lowest bid from Lsl Property Management was made by Thomas Burke seconded by Michael Veeder and duly carried.

General Fund and Highway bills in the amount of $151,767.32 were audited on abstract #4, voucher numbers 2025-213 through 2025-269.  Bank reconciliations were presented for review. 


A motion to accept the February Justice reports was made by Shane Pilato seconded by Michael Veeder and duly carried.

At 7:27 pm a motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Thomas Burke seconded by Michael Veeder and duly carried.


Copies of all resolutions, agreements, and contracts are on file in the Town Clerk’s Office.
