LeAnn Scherer addressed the Board regarding the County cutting the senior meals program.  Approximately 250 people throughout the county have been dropped; 27 in the Town/Village.  Mayor Evans has been apprised of the situation.  General discussion ensued.

When the Town passed the local law limiting the sale of cannabis products in 2024, it did not allow any cannabis related business in areas zoned Corridor Industrial. Someone has expressed interest in obtaining the old mushroom facility on Plank Road at the intersection with Bronck Mill Road for the purpose of cannabis cultivation.  If the law were amended to allow cannabis cultivation, in the Corridor Industrial Zone, under a special use permit, applicants would require planning board approval.  The board felt this was an effective use of the building/property.
On motion of Thomas Burke seconded by Shane Pilato and duly carried, they authorized the Supervisor to have the Attorney for the Town draft a proposed amendment to our local law.
Ayes:  4 – Hanse, Burke, Kennedy, Pilato Absent:  1 – Veeder
