NOTICE OF COMPLETION OF TENTATIVE ASSESSMENT ROLL
(Pursuant to Sections 506 and 526 of the Real Property Tax Law)
Notice is hereby given that the Assessor of the Town of Coxsackie
County of Greene has completed the Tentative Assessment Roll for the current year and that a copy has been filed with the Town Clerk at 56 Bailey St Coxsackie, whereby appointment only it may be seen and examined by any interested person until Grievance Day.
The Assessor will be in attendance with the Tentative Assessment Roll on the following days by appointment only:
Monday, May 12 – 11-3p
Wednesday, May 14 – 11-1 & 6-8 pm
Saturday, May 17 – 9-1p

The Board of Assessment Review will meet on May 28, 2025 from 4pm until 8pm to hear and examine all complaints in relation to assessments on the application of any persons believing themselves to be aggrieved. All complaints must include the Grievance form and written substantiation, and must be received via mail, fax or email before Grievance Day. - Calculate the assessed value of property within the Town of Coxsackie
- Provide the following publicly available information about a property upon request:
Owner’s name(s)
Current and previous assessed value of home
Year built
Last sale price
- Review eligibility for and provide information about tax exemptions such as:
- STaR and Enhanced STaR
- Veteran’s Exemption
- Senior’s Exemption
- Agriculture Exemption
- Assist taxpayers in filling out and submitting exemption forms
- Maintain property transfer records
Attention Property Owners
AS A RESULT OF RECENT NYS LAW CHANGES THE STAR PROGRAM IS BEING RESTRUCTURED
NEW STAR recipients will receive a check directly from the New York State Tax Department instead of receiving an exemption on their school tax bill. The amount of the benefit will be the same.
Your local Town Assessor will NO LONGER be accepting ‘New’ STAR Exemption Applications.
